GCCI CSR Committee Co-Chairman Shri Alpesh Parikh, along with eminent speaker Dr. Twinkal Patel, Managing Director, Motherhood Women & Child Care Hospital, led an impactful “Say No to Drugs & Tobacco” awareness program at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University (SVGU), Prahladnagar, Ahmedabad, on December 23, 2025.

The program began with a warm welcome and felicitation of the distinguished guests by SVGU Provost Prof. (Dr.) Subhash Brahmbhatt and Ms. Nirali Patel, Member of the Board of Management, SVGU and an eminent social worker.

Dr. Twinkal Patel delivered an insightful session highlighting the stages of drug and tobacco addiction and their serious impact on physical health, mental well-being, academic performance and personal relationships. Her talk covered natural, semi-synthetic, and synthetic drugs, along with various forms of tobacco consumption.

Emphasizing early awareness and prevention, she stressed the importance of sports, arts and constructive hobbies for holistic development, while underscoring the vital role of families, peers and mentors in guiding youth toward healthy choices.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Subhash Brahmbhatt called for greater vigilance to curb the spread of drugs in society and expressed heartfelt appreciation to GCCI and Dr. Twinkal Patel for addressing this critical social issue.
